This is NUTS. Yes, another hiker missing on Mount Baldy, in the same area as Julian Sands. Baldy Bowl, I guess. After all the warnings not to hike, the everywhere-in-the-media article about Julian Sands, electronic signs along the interstate, series of storms, with wind, snow, rain, ice, and yet another hiker goes missing?

JC went missing on a Sunday (a day and a half ago). SAR would have seen him if they had been airborne. If the weather was so bad they couldn’t fly, it should be obvious to a hiker as well?

Article with photo today. IMO the red jacket he’s wearing belongs to SAR (it’s super robust. If those are JC’s poles, he’s likely done quite a few hikes (not a novice), since that Black Diamond model has been around quite a while (since discontinued). I really wish we could find out how he kept himself alive for 2 nights.
