Theoretically, this case has wound up, but there are aspects that bother me because they didn't get answered. Let's talk about those.

One of the early details I noticed was that in the "dossier" DC provided early in the case, he had edited out the volume of the backpack ED was said to be carrying. Why would someone do that? IMO there must have been something hinky going on from the get-go that persuaded him the volume of the pack had to be photo-shopped.
The PDF for the entire dossier Dan Colegate wrote is here. The pack is on page 6. The volume of that pack design (Osprey Exos) is just above the lower compartment (maybe just a gray fabric, not a compartment; I forget, and it's quite an old model).That's the usual place for a pack volume. It has been blurred out by an editor.
When something so insignificant is edited, it seems like there must be some reason or other that the editor doesn't want us to know about. But this is a very odd detail to photo-shop. What would DC be about?
