So, a couple of guys had to be rescued near the summit of the Ben (Ben Nevis, highest point in Great Britain, located in Scotland). They were wearing jeans and trainers, evidently because they intended to buy gear on the way, but the outdoor shops were closed for a bank holiday.
Salty language at length:
"They were soaked to the skin, wet and freezing. They were wearing just trainers, jeans and some form of inadequate jacket. Their clothing was totally inadequate and useless for the conditions. They were incompetent, incredibly stupid and an accident waiting to happen on the country's highest mountain in winter," said Donald Paterson, leader of Lochaber MRT."
